As families prepare to celebrate the season of Christmas around the world, international indie soul artist Teri Tobin puts the finishing touches on her first Holiday EP, CHRISTMAS CHILD.

Phoenix, AZ – December 10, 2011: International Indie Soul Artist Teri Tobin announces the release of her first Christmas EP, CHRISTMAS CHILD due to be released December 13, 2011 on Sōl 2 Kēp Entertainment, which she owns.

In March 2011, Teri Tobin independently released her critically acclaimed debut 14-track album, LOVE INFINITY.  The success of LOVE INFINITY garnered Teri to receive a nomination for SoulTracks 2011 Readers’ Choice Awards for “New Artist of the Year” in addition; Teri’s lead single “Free” was #1 on charts in The Netherlands and U.K. Now she’s back with her first Christmas album, CHRISTMAS CHILD a five-song EP which includes the title track Christmas Child an original song co-written by Teri Tobin, Kevin Aaron, Doc Williams and co-produced with Animate Inventions at the Center of Freedom, whom she worked with on her LOVE INFINITY debut LP. Teri’s CHRISTMAS CHILD is promising of Christmas classics such as Away in a Manger, O Holy Night, O Come All Ye Faithful and What Child is This.

"I have always wanted to record a Christmas album and started writing Christmas Child back in '96. To have it finally come to life has been like Christmas morning for me. Away in a Manger was the first and only song I knew I would put on the EP because it was the first song I remember learning for our Christmas morning church service. I remember being in the dining room with my mom teaching me the melody and lyrics. When I was a child, Christmas just wasn't Christmas without that song, so I wanted to put my own spin on it. With O Holy Night, my grandmother had me sing it every Christmas so I decided to include her favorite as well.” says Teri Tobin.

About Teri Tobin

Born on Valentine’s Day, this Arizona-born songstress, songwriter & producer had sounds of soul music flowing through her veins at an early age. While voice training in those days started at her grandmother’s church, her professional singing career began as a child when she was chosen to sing background vocals for the legendary Jeffrey Osborne and for the Rock Band Yes. Although most of her influences are male singers like Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, Prince, and Donny Hathaway, Tobin is reminiscent of the sultry sounds and richness of R&B or Jazz singers of yesterday.
